Great Start

Second grade has started off as a great year. Our students have been working very hard in all subject areas. In math, they have been learning how to determine a numbers value. Students have also been learning about number patterns and different ways to show numbers. We have also reviewed comparing numbers. In the coming weeks they will learn how to add and subtract double digit numbers without regrouping. In reading, students have been learning how to tackle difficult words. Soon they will learn how to make meaningful connections to books they are reading. As writers students have been learning how to write about personal experiences. We can't wait to teach them how to write their own informational books. Check back for updates!
